- Several media reprise a Concordia news service release on a study of airflow models at major airports. In the study, lead author Georgios Vatistas, professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, describes a new mathematical tool he developed to calculate an aircraft's wing-tip airflow, or vortex. The calculations could allow for a decrease in takeoff distance between large planes, which in turn could reduce waiting periods between takeoffs. Vatistas partnered with Concordia Master of Applied Science (MASc) students Fani Maniki and Georgios Panagiotakakos, for the study. The release is reprised by: Press News, ECN Mag and Science Newsline. Additionally, Vancouverdesi.com, Daiji World and TVANouvelles.ca write about the study and Noodls provides a link to the original Concordia release. Publication of the study is forthcoming in the Journal of Aircraft.
- The Concordia-led Act Project announces that Groupe Harmonie, a non-profit organization that works with elders with addiction issues, is now an official partner in the Act Research Project.
- Scarlet and Black, the Grinnell College news publication, writes about the work of Erica Lehrer, assistant professor and Canada Research Chair in Post-Conflict Memory, Ethnography & Museology in the Department of History. The article focuses on Lehrer's study of Jewish heritage in Poland. It quotes Lehrer throughout and mentions her 2013 book, Jewish Poland Revisited: Heritage Tourism in Unquiet Places.
- Literary Review of Canada (behind a paywall) publishes a review of Jewish Space in Contemporary Poland,co-edited by assistant professor of history Erica Lehrer and Michael Meng.
