Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- A list in les affaires of the finalists in the 'Mêlez-nous de vos affaires' student entrepreneurship competition includes Concordian Frédérick Marcil. The mechanical engineering student has caught the jury's attention with his recent launch of "Kube Innovation", a device that allows dental health professionals to measure a patient's mastication strength. Marcil was to make his final presentation yesterday. The article includes a link to an earlier video presentation by Marcil.
- Yahoo!Sports provides a link to the "St-Henri Chronicles", a series of articles resulting from a collaboration between the Department of Journalism and CBC Montreal. Graduate-level students were assigned to produce original multimedia reports about the St-Henri neighbourhood for their final class project: Three men and a micro-neighbourhood, by Kathryn Jezer-Morton; Goalball: More than a sport, by Samuel Rancourt; St-Henri reintegration program gives women new start, by Miriam Barchilón, Antoni Nerestant and Amie Watson; TRAC workers improving life in St-Henri, 1 person at a time, by Chelsea Berne and Olivia Jones; St-Henri's field of dreams, by Tim Lazier and Kurt Weiss; and Home of the Victrola: Hidden gem of St-Henri, by Felicia Parrillo and Kate Sheridan.
