  • The Montreal Gazette carries the latest story in the series Montreal Reimagined, produced in partnership with Concordia. It outlines the work of Cynthia Hammond, chair of the Department of Art History, Thomas Strickland, an instructor in the department and Shauna Janssen, a researcher with the Topological Media Lab, on a project that involved a broad public consultation on what the future of the Wellington Tower might hold. The story also features a video interview with James Freeman, adjunct professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, about the importance of public spaces in the urban environment.
  • The work of doctoral candidate and lecturer in the Department of Religion, Brice Jones, who has deciphered an ancient Egyptian receipt for what appears to be an exorbitant land-transfer tax, continues to garner media interest. Aftenposten.no (in Norwegian) is the latest to write about his work on the ancient tax receipt.
