Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director and lead researcher at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights (MIGS), writes an opinion piece for OpenCanada.org in which he criticizes opposition party leaders in Ottawa - Thomas Mulcair of the NDP and the Liberals' Justin Trudeau - for opposing Canada's military role in a US-led mission in the Middle East against ISIS. The piece is published in the wake of Prime Minister Harper's request for Parliamentary support for an extension and expansion of Canada's mission in the region.
- The MIGS' Kyle Matthews is quoted in an article in iPolitics about federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau's position on Canada's Middle East military mission against ISIS.
- Matthews is interviewed on CBC Radio's Homerun about a group of Sudanese medical students, including a Canadian citizen, who have reportedly gone to work at ISIS-controlled hospitals in Syria.
