CAQ wants to tighten immigration in Quebec

The Coalition avenir Québec (CAQ) wants to tighten immigration laws in Quebec with a new proposal to create a transitional immigrant status, which would be reviewed after three years. The CAQ would like to see individuals evaluated based on their French-language skills, their knowledge of the history and values of Quebec, and their potential employability.
