Brazilians call for impeachment of President

Hundreds took the streets in Brazil, calling for the impeachment of recently re-elected President Dilma Rousseff. The protesters say the president must have known about a corruption scandal and government kickbacks in the state oil firm, Petrobras.

The political opposition say much of the alleged bribery took place when she was head of the company.

Jean-François Mayer, associate professor in the Department of Political Science, can comment on the tenuous political situation.
