Why Muslim-Canadian women choose to wear the Niqab
The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) released a report about why Muslim women in Canada choose to wear the Niqab. The report states: “Very few pieces of faith-based clothing in Canada have ignited as much impassioned debates as the Muslim practice of the Niqab” and the report is “a response to this growing national conversation and a reflection…to the plurality of Muslim communities.” Concordia professor, Lynda Clarke, is the report's author and can field questions on the subject.
