Researchers in the news
The scholarly work of Concordia faculty and researchers informs and improves society on many issues that affect our daily lives. Visit the Research section to read news stories involving research at Concordia, or read the most recent items here:
- Business News Daily and Phys.org write about a study, co-authored by management professor Gary Johns and Usman Raja, an associate professor at Brock University, that shows supervisors can tell when an employee is working to benefit an employer and when that employee is attempting to curry favour.
- The Journal de Montréal writes about Concordia research that uses electromagnetic waves to inspect bridges for structural soundness. The ground-penetrating radar technology was adapted by a team led by Tarek Zayed, associate professor in the department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering. Sun Media provides a link to the story as reprised in the Journal de Québec.
- Le Devoir publishes a review of the book Elles étaient seize - Les premières femmes journalistes au Canada, by Linda Kay, associate professor of Journalism. Kay is quoted throughout. (See pdf, "Elles étaient seize.")
