- F.living, Knoxville Times, University Herald, municipalinfonet.com, Vancouver Desi, Toronto Telegraph and Canoe run stories about Concordia research into whether bans on public smoking helped smokers quit. The research team includes Sylvia Kairouz, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, who is quoted. The study was published in the journal, Nicotine & Tobacco Research.
- Health Canal is the latest to report on Concordia research, led by associate professor of biology Vladimir Titorenko, into the cancer-fighting potential of a naturally produced bile acid in the human liver. Titorenko is quoted. The study was published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
