Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- An article in Journal Métro about the anticipated demise of Bill C-279 on protection of rights for transgender Canadians, quotes Kimberley Manning, assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. Manning is quoted in her capacity as a member of the board of Gender Creative Kids Canada and mother of a transgender child. She was also interviewed on CJAD's Barry Morgan Show yesterday afternoon (no link available). A news report on CTV Montreal deals specifically with the work of Gender Creative Kids Canada and the experiences of nine-year old Elijah Manning.
- Michel Nadeau, director of the Institute for Governance of Private and Public Organizations, a joint initiative of the JMSB and HEC Montréal, appears on-camera in a Radio Canada Téléjournal report on the 12 per cent increase in the performance of Quebec's Caisse de dépôt et placement. The video link, at the top of the page, is titled "Bulletin de nouvelles du mercredi 25 février 2015." Nadeau appears at the 6:00 mark.
- Bruce Hicks, professor in the Department of Political Science, was interviewed yesterday afternoon on CJAD about the possibility of a provincial cabinet shuffle (no link available).
