Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- CNW posts a release from the CSU announcing that it has received a letter of interest from the Fiducie du Chantier de L'economie sociale offering matching funding for a CSU co-op student housing project. The release includes the announcement of the CSU's plan to hold a referendum next month to ask students if they want to establish a fund for the housing project and to approve a $1.85-million contribution to such a fund. CSU president Benjamin Prunty and CSU VP, Academic and Advocacy, Terry Wilkings are quoted. The release is picked up by Money and Money News.
- CNW posts another release from the CSU announcing a news conference that was to be held yesterday at the Hive Cafe, in the Hall Building. It concerned the launch of a crowdfunding campaign for Étudiants et Étudiantes Contre les Oléoducs (ÉCO) and ÉCO's plan to make itself heard during the next federal election campaign. The CSU is a member of the coalition, opposed to oil pipeline construction projects. The release was picked up by Le Lézard, Money and Money News.
