Alexis Tsipras, leader of the Syriza anti-austerity party, has been sworn in as the new prime minster of Greece following Sunday’s election. Leaders of the European Union are now bracing for tough negotiations over the country’s debt but observers feel it’s unlikely Greece will actually break away from the EU.
Two experts in the Department of Finance can look at the impact of the Greek election results on markets and the European Union.
