Caisse de dépôt to fund infrastructure projects

The province’s public pension administrator, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, has announced it will be funding infrastructure projects including construction of a rail link with the South Shore and another to Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport.
Two Concordia experts can offer perspective on this development:
Political science professor Patrik Marier has done extensive research on public pension models and can weigh in on the wisdom of the Caisse decision.
Finance professor Lorne Switzer can also analyse whether Quebecers are well served by the move.
