Quebec austerity campaign

The Quebec government is determined to balance its budget by the year 2015-16. To do so, it has set up a commission, headed by Lucienne Robillard, former federal Treasury Board president, to analyze public programs and recommend savings measures. Public protests have been held criticizing the government’s move towards austerity measures.
