U.S. airstrike on ISIS
On Tuesday, September 23 President of the United States Barack Obama made a statement that airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria was “not America’s fight alone,” as he admitted that its success was due to a coalition of Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute on Genocide and Human Rights Studies, and Henri Habib, distinguished professor emeritus in the Department of Political Science, can weigh in on the airstrike and whether the U.S. should expect retaliation.
