Radio-Canada International interviewed Krista Byers-Heinlein, professor in the Department of Psychology and CRDH researcher, about a study she conducted in collaboration with Christopher Fennell, a professor from the University of Ottawa. Their research found that monolingual and bilingual infants learn a new word best from someone with a language background that matches their own. Byers-Heinlein also appeared on CBC Radio-Noon (“No language delay with bilingual babies: study”). The research also appears in Business Standard, Yahoo! News Malaysia, Yahoo! News India, Yahoo! News Maktoob, Daji World, The Indian Republic, Health News Network, Sify, Sulekha, Web India 123, Chennai Online, News Track India and Health Canal.

On Friday, June 6 Le Journal de Québec featured two separate articles on Byers-Heinlein's research. It also appeared in Le Journal de Montréal, Big News Network, IANS live, The Knoxville Times, The Herald Globe, The Albuquerque Express, Yahoo! News Philippines, The New Age, Free Malaysia Today, FZ.com, Mangolorean, The South Asian Times, Net India 123, Jagran Post, Malay Mail Online and Mizo News.

On Monday, June 9 The Star Online, The Sun Daily and The Week covered her research. An article, for subscription only, was also featured in Le Devoir.

SAGE issued a press release about the study that was carried by Science Codex, Medical Xpress and EurkeaAlert!.
