Researchers in the news
The scholarly work of Concordia faculty and researchers informs and improves society on many issues that affect our daily lives. Visit the Research section to read news stories involving research at Concordia, or read the most recent items here:
- Research conducted by Bianca Grohmann, professor in the Department of Marketing, found that, when diffused in retail environments, certain scents can reduce the level of anxiety experienced by consumers. The research appears in The Daily Mail, The Telegraph (U.K.), The University Herald, Business Insider Australia, Business Insider India, Fast Co. Design, Radikal (Turkish-language), Pambianco News (Italian-language), and HLN (Dutch-language).
- SAGE issues a press release about a study conducted by Krista Byers-Heinlein, professor in the Department of Psychology and CRDH researcher, in collaboration with a colleague Christopher Fennell from the University of Ottawa. Their research found that monolingual and bilingual infants learn a new word best from someone with a language background that matches their own: Science Codex, Medical Xpress and EurkeaAlert!. Concordia issued its own release about this study.
