Remembering the Rwandan genocide

On April 7, Rwanda and the international community will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the start of the genocide, which saw more than 800,000 deaths over 100 days. Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, can provide perspective on the history of the genocide, the importance of remembrance and what has changed over the course of 20 years.
