  • Research conducted by Tarek Zayed, professor in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering, is featured in Phys Org. Zayed’s study investigated the relationship between materials used in pavement markings, their age and durability. His research showed that snowplows are the biggest culprit in erasing pavement markings and that switching paint could save cars and lives. The story is reprised by USA News, News and e! • Research conducted by Tracie Barnett, professor in the Department of Exercise Science, in collaboration with Dr. Gilles Paradis of McGill University Health Centre and Lisa Kakinami, a post-doctoral epidemiologist at McGill University, is featured in UPI. Their study found that parents with rigid rules and showed less affection to their kids have a greater risk of children who are overweight. Their research also appears on Big News Network.

  • Research conducted by communications professor Sandra Gabriele, on the Toronto Star's involvement in the now-defunct CFCA radio station, is featured in Torontoist.
