  • Research conducted by Ingrid Bachmann, professor in the Department of Studio Arts, in collaboration with a Toronto-based medical research group is investigating the emotional or psychological states of a heart transplant recipient post-surgery. The project is called Hybrid Bodies and is an evolving multi-sensory project that provides a creative context in which to discuss and explore organ recipients’ experiences and cultural views about transplantation. The project will be on display at the Phi Centre from January 23 to March 15: MĂ©tro, Patwhite and Le Devoir.

  • Conservation Magazine features research conducted by Damon Matthews, professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, that found that seven countries account for more than 60 percent of the global warming between 1906 and 2005. This study is unique because it assigns a temperature change value to each country that reflects its contribution to observed global warming.
