The scholarly work of Concordia faculty and researchers informs and improves society on many issues that affect our daily lives. Visit the Research section to read news stories involving research at Concordia, or read the most recent items here:
- Research conducted by psychology PhD candidates Christopher Cardoso and Anne-Marie Linnen in collaboration with Mark Ellenbogen, professor in the Department of Psychology and CRDH researcher, appears in The Science World Report. Their study found that the off-label use of oxytocin by healthy adults shows an increase in emotional oversensitivity. The research is featured in Le Journal de Montréal, Canoë Santé, TVA Nouvelles, The Business Standard, Press-News, Medical Daily, Zee News Daily and Medial News Today.
- The Huffington Post features research conducted by Damon Matthews, professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, that found that seven countries account for more than 60 percent of the global warming between 1906 and 2005. This study is unique because it assigns a temperature change value to each country that reflects its contribution to observed global warming.
