The New Scientist features research conducted by Damon Matthews, professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, that found that seven countries account for more than 60 percent of the global warming between 1906 and 2005. This study is unique because it assigns a temperature change value to each country that reflects its contribution to observed global warming.

Bloomberg also publishes an article on Matthews’s research, which is carried by Bloomberg Business Week, The San Francisco Chronicle, Democratic Underground (China), Inagist.

The research also appears in The Atlantic Cities.

Le Devoir, La Presse+, Journal Métro and L’Avantage published the research in French.

The story is also carried by Yahoo! News UK & Ireland, The Carbon Brief, Insurance Journal, Nature World News and Life Sciences World.
