  • University Affairs publishes an article about LinkedIn University Pages and among those quoted is Lucy Niro, director of web communications. Niro explains that the transition from a LinkedIn Business Page to the new University Page was not seamless for Concordia. Concordia was among a select number of institutions not included in the test phase.

  • The Montreal Gazette publishes a letter written by Pamela Carson, Katharine Hall and Michelle Lake, who are all librarians at Concordia’s libraries, in response to an op-ed published by the Gazette on January 6. Their letter addresses a few misconceptions about the role of librarians and their work.

  • The McGill Daily publishes a story about the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision to strike down three core provisions of Canada’s sex work laws. The article quotes Viviane Namaste, professor in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute and the Concordia Research Chair in HIV/AIDS and Sexual Health.
