Students in the news
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- Students in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science and members of Space Concordia appeared on CBC News Montreal (segment begins at 21 minutes) on Friday, October 18 to discuss their Kickstarter campaign to raise money to fund this year’s satellite competition. Space Concordia is trying to build this year’s satellite from self-repairing materials. Space Daily, SatNews, The Iranian Students’ News Agency and All Voices report on Space Concordia and this year’s design.
- Le Devoir features an article about the People’s Potato, a student organized food co-op, which provides free vegan meals to students and the community.
- The Globe and Mail asked students from across Canada about their use of ADHD drugs. Among the more than 20 interviews that were conducted, a fourth-year student in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, is quoted. A second article on the same subject is also published by The Globe and Mail and quotes the same student.
- Physical education teacher and a master’s candidate in the educational technology program, Nicholas Stratigopoulos, announced the release of his physical education application that is now available for download on Google Play. The apps were previously available exclusively at the App Store: PR-Canada.
