Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- The Toronto Star features an article about the Government of Quebec’s proposed Charter of Quebec Values. If passed, it would make a secular dress code mandatory for public sector workers. The article quotes Emmanuelle Richez, post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Political Science. The article is reprised by The Brampton Guardian. Richez also appeared on CBC Homerun (no link available) on Friday, September 6 to discuss the same topic.
- The Montreal Gazette publishes an article about the Mackay Centre, a school for the deaf in NDG founded by Thomas Widd, a deaf-mute newspaper editor and pioneer of education for the deaf. The article mentions that Widd’s story came to light after Ron Rudin, professor in the Department of History, launched an appeal for lost stories linked to a Montreal-area location.
