New legislation

James Kelly, professor in the Department of Political Science, is quoted in an article about a bill recently introduced by MP Irwin Cotler that would require all legislation introduced in Parliament to be reviewed by an objective body to ensure compliance with the Canadian Bill of Rights and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms: The Montreal Gazette, The Windsor Star, Calgary Herald, The Province, The Star Phoenix, The Ottawa Citizen, The Leader-Post, The Vancouver Sun and The Edmonton Journal.
