Montreal and its split linguistic personality

The Montreal Gazette interviews Sherry Simon, a professor in Études Françaises, about her book Cities in Translation and Translating Montreal that explores the “split linguistic personality” of Montreal. Another article in The Montreal Gazette discussing a similar topic quotes Simon who explains that Barcelona, Spain is one of the few cities in the world that has a similar blending of languages as Montreal.
