Is team work really more efficient?

The Financial Post mentions a 2010 study co-authored by Tracy Hecht, a professor in the Department of Management in the John Molson School of Business. The study questions whether or not team work, such as brainstorming, offers performance advantages compared to combining the results from the labour of individuals working alone.
