PERFORM Centre: health through better prevention

Posted on February 9, 2012

The PERFORM Centre will narrow the gap between researchers and the community according to The Suburban (see page 17).  One of two new Concordia facilities inaugurated last fall, PERFORM focuses on prevention as a mean to promote health in the community. Note that the article also mentions Concordia’s Centre for Structural and Functional Genomics

Marion Lowe, Clinical Exercise Programs manager in the PERFORM Centre, explains that the facility is not a gym, but rather a place where research, prevention and community engagement comingle. Seniors that have used PERFORM comment on their experiences: The Senior Times. Comments by Lowe are also featured in the NDG Free Press.
