Jules Koostachin got back in touch with her roots while taking a Cree language course at Concordia. The experience made her question why non-Natives were picking up the language faster than people of aboriginal decent. This motivated her to use her knowledge of documentary media to showcase the culture of her ancestors: Wawatay News Online.
