Bitterness leads to poor health
Posted on September 1, 2011
The Atlantic, a venerable American magazine, produced a story about new research from Carsten Wrosch, a professor in the Department of Psychology and a member of the Centre for Research in Human Development. Wrosch has studied regret, depression and wellbeing among seniors. He found people unable to let go of life’s disappointments become bitter and that bitterness leads to poor health. Coverage of this study also appears in The Conversation and Australian Women's Health.
