Animal mating rituals

Posted on May 26, 2011

James Grant, a professor in the Department of Biology, published a new study that found animal mating rituals adapt when competition among males for females intensifies. "However, if females are abundant and encounters are frequent, males may abandon females who are not receptive to find one who is ready to mate," said Grant. The research is covered by Discovery News and Science Daily. He was also interviewed on CJAD`s Delmar @ Night.
