JMSB wins gold at Happening Marketing 2014

JMSB's 2014 Happening Marketing delegation at Université Laval.

Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business (JMSB) won gold at the 2014 Happening Marketing Case Competition. It was held this year at Université Laval between March 21 and 23. The annual event attracts almost 500 students and volunteers.

The JMSB delegation earned first-place due to the total number of points accumulated by its constituent teams. “This was a perfect demonstration of how every point matters,” says Head Coach and Advisor to the Competition Program, Mark Haber. “I want to thank all of the teams and their coaches for their outstanding work.”

Finishing in second and third place respectively were ESG UQAM and Université Laval.

The three podium-reaching teams were:

Gold
  • Sport “Pur Instinct”
    Magali Boivin-Calot, Terrence Dobson, Michael Hopmeyer, Tim Maag, Alvy Mizelle, Colleen Williamson, Lauren Wilson with coach Zak Lupu
Silver
  • Business to Business
    Jessica Colatosti, Anthony Esposito, Gregory Rocha with coaches Peter Dedicik, Kyle Britton and Agnes Katsouros
Bronze
  • Social
    Olivier Brasseur, Alexander Habib, Gabriela Oliveira, Olivia Szczerbickyj with coaches Frederique Dufort-Plante and Valerie Lemaire

A fourth-place finish in every other category contributed to the delegation’s victory.

    Nicolas Joly, Alessa Leblanc, Salar Molaei with coaches Harold Simpkins and Annabel Egan
  • Relationship Marketing
  • Michael Nimmo, Stephanie Ann Sbrissa, Jennifer Sewell with coach Annabel Eagan
  • International Marketing
    Maria Camilla Rodriguez Estrada, Shawn Grenier, Aimee Thompson with coaches Peter Dehais and Amanda Akman
