Sarah Benoit, Lucas Broussoux, Clémence Jonssen and Marc-Andre Maheu represented Concordia’s John Molson School of Business at the Ethics in Action competition, hosted by Dalhousie University’s Rowe School of Business. And they did not come home empty-handed. The team won the competition’s Ethics in Every Day Business award for the video they produced about the role of ethics and ethical leadership in business.
The competition is based upon written case studies. All teams have the opportunity to present both a prepared and a live case. Prepared cases were released 10 days prior to the competition. For the live case, each team had three hours to respond to a fictional ethical dilemma.

The final standings were:

  1. University of Prince Edward Island
  2. Dalhousie University (MBA)
  3. Dalhousie University

“I’m very proud of this team who had never competed before,” says Mark Haber, head coach and advisor to the Competition Program. “They began with very little technical ethics knowledge. They bonded as a very cohesive team and worked very hard to develop the necessary skills.”

The John Molson Case Competition Committee (JMCC) would like to thank coaches Steven Bento and Olivier Tsinos for their hard work in preparing the team for the competition.

The JMCC also thanks Mark Haber for his boundless commitment.

The Committee would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Exclusive Title Partner PepsiCo Foods Canada, Premier Partners Pfizer Canada, Maxi and Power Corporation of Canada, Database Sponsor PODIO, and Associate Partner Canderel for their support and encouragement of the case competition program for their support and encouragement of the case competition program.
