Concordia undergraduate students Katerina Fragos, Jessica Daigneault, Alison Revine and Alex Harris represented the John Molson School of Business at the inaugural University of Navarra International Case Competition (UNICC) and won the top prize. Additionally, Fragos took home the Best Speaker Award.

The team from JMSB got off to a strong start, performing well in the two initial phases of the competition which included cases about Deloitte and Danone. Executives from those companies were present at the presentations.  The team then delivered a solid performance in the 24-hour case, where they tackled a case about la Caixa bank’s welfare project. This earned them a spot in the final round where they repeated their recommendations.

The final standings were:

  1. John Molson School of Business, Concordia University
  2. Sprott School of Business, Carleton University
  3. Aalto University

“UNICC is a high calibre, incredibly run case competition,” said Mark Haber, head coach and advisor to the competition program, “The cases were well done and the judges were exceptional. From a hospitality standpoint, the team’s Ambassador, Pilar, the organizers and everyone involved did an exceptional job making JMSB feel welcome and comfortable. It was very much appreciated.”

The John Molson Competition Committee (JMCC) extends a very special thank you to Coach Tim Field, whose outstanding work led the team to victory.

The JMCC would also like to thank Head Coach and Advisor to the Competition Program, Mark Haber, for his commitment and contribution to the program.

The team would also like to express its deepest gratitude to exclusive title partner Pfizer Canada for their support and encouragement of the case competition program.
