A group of students from the John Molson School of Business represented Concordia at the Enactus Canada 2013 Regional Competition in Mississauga, held on March 10 and 11, 2013.

Organized by Concordia’s Entrepreneurship and Management Association (CEMA), the Enactus Concordia team was made up of William Atsaidis, Marianne Springmann, Naji Khouri, Jeremy Kovac, Beatrice Yam, Janet Kar, Emilie Dufort, Alexander Carchidi, Scott Carr, Julian Di Bartolomeo, Stephanie Rose, Maya Chopova, Qiwei Sun, Damien Renard and Esther Peterson. Management Lecturer, Ron Abraira acted as the faculty advisor.

The 23-team competition covered three areas: entrepreneurship, financial literacy and sustainability. Teams were judged based on the degree to which their proposed projects were deemed to help their communities. The team’s spirited performance earned them second place finishes in the TD Entrepreneurship Challenge and in the Scotiabank EcoLiving Green Challenge. This result enabled the team to advance to the Enactus’ National Competition, which will be held in Toronto in May.
