Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business (JMSB) was represented by Chris Carpini, Chelsea Paquette and Raj Thayaparan at Case IT, an undergraduate information technology competition hosted by Simon Fraser University. About 40 universities from all over the world submitted preliminary round case solutions, but only 16 were accepted to participate in the actual competition.

The second phase of the competition was held from February 6 to 9 and consisted of two rounds, plus a lightning round. Round I included a 24-hour deliberation and case analysis in which the JMSB team put together a very detailed presentation. They were edged out in their pool and did not advance to compete in subsequent rounds.

The final standings were:

  1. Kwantlen Polytechnic University
  2. Queen’s University
  3. Ryerson University
  4. Indiana University

The John Molson Competition Committee (JMCC) would like to thank lead coach Ian Selvarajah, for his commitment to guiding the JMSB team to such a competitive level.

The JMCC extends a special thanks to Head Coach and Advisor to the Competition Program, Mark Haber, for his commitment and contribution to the program.

The team would also like to express its deepest gratitude to exclusive title partner Pfizer Canada for their support and encouragement of the case competition program.
