Film Production Alumna Sonia Bonspille Boileau releases feature film Le Dep

Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema Aluma (2003-2005) Sonia Bonspille Boileau released her first feature film Le Dep last summer as part of the Forum of Independents competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Sonia is the first female director of Canadian Indigenous origin (Mohawk) to have her debut feature premiere at an international festival.

Christopher Gregoire, Production Assistant for Le Dep and incoming student to the BFA Film Production program in the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, is the inaugural recipient of the Susan Pigott Fellowship for Indigenous Students in Film Production and Film Animation for 2016.
