Retired Professor Emeritus Cedric Marsh


Retired Professor Emeritus Cedric Marsh passed away in Victoria on January 21, 2013 at the age of 88. He was a world class scholar who made a significant contribution to engineering through the Centre for Building Studies. As a founding member of the Centre, he contributed to the development of the new discipline of Building Engineering in Canada. Generous with his time, wise in his counsel, and gentle in his demeanor, he was loved and respected by students and colleagues for his broad knowledge of engineering and for his pioneering designs of large-span reticulated aluminum structures which he built throughout South America.
