Graduate Fellowships Call for Applications - 2025-26 - Appel à candidatures bourses d'études supérieures

The Social Justice Centre at Concordia University is offering 4 graduate student fellowships for the academic year 2025-2026.

We offer 4 bursaries of 5,000$ each. The recipients will receive the title of “Graduate student fellow” at the Centre and be portrayed on our website (concordia.ca/socialjustice).

Application procedure

Applicants should send an email to sjc@concordia.ca by Sept 15, 2024 (by midnight) with the following information:

(1)   the applicant’s name, degree, and department,

(2)   thesis supervisor’s name and department, and

(3)   the title of the project and the topic(s) of research

The following should be attached in a single PDF:

(1)     An updated academic CV

(2)     Current transcript (a non-official copy is accepted)

(3)     A brief (max 2 pages) description of the applicant’s project that clearly states the research question, the project’s connection to social justice and the proposed timeline of the project.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at Concordia University. Priority will be given to candidates at the writing stage of their thesis (MA or PhD).

Expectations

Fellows are expected to (1) work on their research project, (2) give a talk presenting their work to the members of the Centre and (3) attend events held by the Center.

We offer a shared coworking space for fellows in the Hall building, and our fellows can also use the SHIFT co-working space.

APPEL À CANDIDATURES BOURSES D’ÉTUDES SUPÉRIEURES CENTRE DE JUSTICE SOCIALE 2025-2026

Le Centre de justice sociale de l’Université Concordia offre des bourses d’études supérieures pour l’année 2025-2026.

Nous offrons 4 bourses de 5,000$ chacune. Les récipiendaires recevront le titre de "Graduate student fellow" et seront présenté-es sur notre site (concordia.ca/socialjustice).

Procédure de candidature

Les candidatures doivent être envoyées par courriel à sjc@concordia.ca d’ici le 15 septembre 2024 (avant minuit) avec les informations suivantes :

(1)   le nom de la candidate ou du candidat, son diplôme et son département,

(2)   le nom et le département du directeur-rice de thèse, et

(3)   le titre du projet

Les documents suivants doivent être joints dans un seul fichier PDF :

(1)   un CV académique à jour

(2)   Un relevé de notes actuel (une copie non-officielle est suffisante)

(3)   Une brève description (2 pages max) du projet qui indique clairement la question de recherche, le lien avec la justice sociale et le calendrier proposé pour le projet.

Critères d'éligibilité et de sélection

Les candidat-es doivent être actuellement inscrit-es à un programme d'études supérieures à l'Université Concordia et travailler sur un thème lié à la justice sociale. La priorité sera accordée aux candidat-es à l'étape de la rédaction (MA ou PhD).

Exigences

Les boursier-ères doivent (1) travailler sur leur projet de recherche, (2) donner une présentation sur leur travail et (3) assister aux événements organisés par le Centre.

Nous offrons un espace de travail partagé aux boursier-ères qui sont aussi bienvenues à utiliser l'espace de co-travail du Centre SHIFT pour la transformation sociale.
