La Charte. La loi 101 et les Québécois d'expression anglaise / The Charter. Bill 101 and English-Speaking Quebec, a book edited by QUESCREN team members Lorraine O’Donnell, Patrick Donovan, and Brian Lewis, has received two positive reviews.
In the Canadian Historical Review (103, 3 (Sept. 2022): 486-488), Jacob Robbins-Kanter writes, “To its credit, the volume strikes an exceptionally neutral tone” and “Altogether, this bilingual volume is a thoroughly researched, concisely presented, and well-organized contribution.”
Samuel Lemire states in Recherches sociographiques (63.1-2 (2022): 360-362) that the book “contribue tant à l’édification d’une littérature sociologique authentiquement anglo-québécoise qu’à celle d’une nation québécoise pluraliste….”
QUESCREN is pleased to announce that the book is now available in digital format for free at this link. Readers can also order paper copies on the website of the publisher, Presses de l’Université Laval.
