January 

  • Brandon’s controlled fertilizer work, in collaboration with NRC, entitled “Thermo-responsive polysulfobetaine beads crosslinked with biodegradable alginates for controlled release of agricultural pesticide” has been published in RSC Advances. Congratulations! 
  • Brandon’s dual acidic pH-degradable drug delivery work entitled “Synthesis and acidic pH-responsive disassembly of dual location shell-sheddable/core-degradable block copolymer nanoassemblies and their controlled drug delivery” has been published in ACS Applied Bio Materials. Congratulations! 
  • Sunidhi joined our lab for her CHEM419 Undergraduate Research Project. Welcome. 

March

  • John renewed NSERC Discovery Grant (2026-2031) entitled “Development of advanced polymers and value-added materials designed with dynamic and degradable chemistries”. 
  • John received FRQNT-NSERC NOVA Grant (2026-2029) with Profs Laventure (Montreal) & Princess (Waterloo) entitled “A synthetic approach guided by shaping processes for the circularity of 3D printed polymer materials”.  
  • Sofia defended her PhD thesis. She joined Fusion Pharmaceutics, located in Hamilton, ON, as a scientist. Congrats!

April

  • Sunidhi successfully presented her CHEM 419 Research. Congratulations!

May

  • Yohan joined our lab for his Concordia 2026 Summer New-Generation Scholar Award during summer. Welcome. 
  • John gave his talks in Canadian Society of Chemistry (CSC), Toronto, Ontario.  
  • Anna, Charline, Tristan, and Sofia presented their works in Canadian Society of Chemistry (CSC), Toronto, Ontario.  
  • John gave his invited seminar in the Depart of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Windsor. 
  • Sofia’s e-spun nanofiber work, entitled “Dual acidic pH-responsive post-crosslinked e-spun nanofibrous scaffolds exhibiting enhanced disassembly and release for localized cancer treatment” in Advanced Healthcare Materials. Congratulations! 
  • Marissa joined our lab for her NSERC USRA research during summer . Welcome. 
  • Sunidhi joined our lab for her CHEM419 Undergraduate Research Project. Welcome. 
  • Sunidhi joined our lab for her MSc studies. Welcome. 

June

  • Charline, Kavindya, Hira, and Sunidhi presented their works in Quebec Center for Advanced Materials (QCAM) meeting, Sherbrooke, Quebec.
