Sherin Al-Safadi at the Eastern Regional 3MT competition

Sherin Al-Safadi, Ph.D. student under the supervision of Shimon Amir, was Concordia's representative at the Eastern Regional 3MT competition in Halifax and was awarded second place. Earlier, Sherin won the Concordia 2014 3MT competition for the best talk at the doctoral level, based on her thesis "The expression of the circadian clock protein PERIOD1 in the rat limbic forebrain and hypothalamus". The prize included a $750 conference travel grant. (See also this Concordia web page). Sherin will be moving forward to the CAGS national competition to be held in May.
