In December, Kyle Mathews and Marie Lamensch participated on the panel “Beyond Government: The Role of Humanitarian Organizations in Upholding the Responsibility to Protect Principle” at Canadian Humanitarian Conference. 

18 January: Kyle Matthews led a talk at Amnesty International Montreal titled “Protecting Human Rights and Preventing Genocide in an Age of Religious Violence: Challenges and Opportunities“

20 January: MIGS, in partnership with the Montreal Press Club, hosted a panel discussion, “Reflections on the Charlie HebdoAttacks: Freedom of Expression and Religious Violence in 2015,”on the implications of the Charlie Hebdo attack for freedom of expression. Panelists included political cartoonists Terry Mosher and Pascal Elie of the Montreal Gazette, and Dr. André Gagné who is a professor in the Departments of Religion and Theology at Concordia University.

19 December: Kyle Matthews published an op-ed in the National Post titled “R2P is a domestic obligation, not just a foreign policy one.”
 
1 January: Kyle Matthews published an op-ed in The Ottawa Citizen titled “The War on Education”.
