Bad jokes aside, in an engaging celebration of International Day of Mathematics, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Concordia University hosted its annual Pi Day event that attracted students, faculty, and math enthusiasts.

This year's event was hosted in collaboration with Concordia University student chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics and the Mathematics and Statistics Graduate Student Association. For more information regarding the Concordia AWM chapter, contact them directly, or follow on Instagram.

This year's festivities included a pizza lunch, pie, and a Pi Day themed Trivia compeition, an event introduced last year. Five teams, made up of undergraduate and graduate students along with professors, competed for the title of the 2026 Pi Day Trivia Champions.

Congratuations to all participants for a lively game filled with challenging questions, teamwork and plenty of laughs. Thank you to everyone who joined in making this year's Pi Day truly memorable.

We are looking forward to Pi Day 2027!
