The CSLP is pleased to share that the recording of the Youth Voices for Safer Communities roundtable—co-facilitated by CSLP Research Associate Dr. Zeina Ismail-Allouche and CSLP member Dr. Ghayda Hassan (Director, CPN-PREV)—is now available online.
Held in partnership with the Halifax Regional Municipality and the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, the youth-led conversation explores how young people understand safety, belonging, and the conditions that support a safer Halifax. The session builds on work presented by Dr. Ismail-Allouche and Dr. Hassan at the 2025 Canadian Centre for Safer Communities conference, where they highlighted dignity-based, community-driven approaches to prevention.
