Martin Lalonde and co-editor Moniques Richard are editing an upcoming issue of the journal Multimodalité(s) and they are seeking submissions. The journal, which publishes in French but will also give space for an article in English in this issue, aims to bring together the voices of all disciplines with an interest in contemporary literacy: multimodality, education, didactics, linguistics, semiotics, media education, communication, visual and media arts, etc.

Volume 21 of Multimodalité(s) will be focused on the theme of amalgams in the fields of art and education. Amalgamation involves intentionally mixing heterogeneous elements like codes, signs, words, images, materials, objects, or people to create novel effects, encouraging the circulation of the imaginary beyond disciplinary concerns. The call for submissions views creation and research as practices, defined as activities applying theory or seeking results in various domains.

Three proposed axes offer a wide spectrum of approaches to talk about conceptual and applied objects of study, methodological approaches, technological devices or implementation methods.

If you are interested in submitting a paper, please get in touch with Martin Lalonde at lalonde.martin@uqam.ca.

L'appel à propositions et la description complète sont disponibles sur le site web de la revue.
