Anne Wade Recipient of the 2016 Galler Award

The Anne Galler Award Committee is very pleased to announce that Ms. Anne Wade is the recipient of the 2016 Anne Galler Award for Outstanding Library Service. This award recognizes an individual who has enriched librarianship in Quebec and has made a lasting contribution to the profession.


Ms. Wade is the Manager, Information Specialist, and Lecturer at the Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance/Education at Concordia University. For thirty years Anne has been a leader in our profession and in teaching literacy skills to numerous generations of students, who continue to benefit from her experience and dedication. Ms. Wade is also a long-standing member of the ABQLA Board, where she has served as President in 2010 and as Treasurer since 2012.


We present Ms. Wade with this award in recognition of her exceptional work. Over the years, we in the Quebec library community and the ABQLA, have benefited from Anne's leadership and outstanding dedication. We know her friends and colleagues will be thrilled to hear this news, and will look forward to honouring her at our Annual Awards dinner to be celebrated at the ABQLA Annual Conference on May 4th, 2016.
