The Special Section, coordinated by Dr. Désirée Rochat with the Editorial Team of the Journal of the Canadian Historical Association, is out!
The Special Section entitled "Living and Writing Black Montreal Histories" brings together the work of 6 Black women historian who focus on Montreal.
The history department is well featured with articles by our own PhD candidate Samia Dumais (her first solo peer-reviewed article!); by alumna Dr. Lyns-Virginie Belony (now Assistant Professor in the Département d'histoire at Université de Montréal); and by Kessie Theliar-Charles (COHDS affiliate, Master's in Art History).
There is also an interview with Dr. Dorothy Williams, that PhD Candidate Kelann Currie-Williams (INDI program under the supervision of Steven High, COHDS affiliate) and Dr. Rochat completed together.
