A special issue "Infanticide in the Americas" of the Journal of Social History (Volume 59, Issue 1, Fall 2005) that Dr. Jaffary co-edited with Jane Nicholas (St. Jerome's University in the University of Waterloo) was published on Dec. 19. Here is a link to the issue - https://academic-oup-com.lib-ezproxy.concordia.ca/jsh/issue/59/1. Nora and her co-editor wrote the introduction and Nora's own article in the issue is called, "Bureaucratic Ambitions and Indigenous Defendants in Nineteenth-Century Huajuapan."

Nora has also published a short personal essay, "On contemplating Canadian Independence," in Intersections 8.3. That is the newsletter of the Canadian Historical Association. At the moment, the essay is only available in paper but it will be possible to read it online starting in March.

Congratulations, Nora!
